Photo available after 15 minutes goes into freeze frame, then, shortly after nightfall. Audio OK. Can good DVD movie. TV on the Motorola box from Comcast provided is connected to our cable provider. All references to our problem? (before he calls the "pros formidable" to do so)

This is not your, if your TV-DVD plays well ...
And I'll bet dollars to donuts that are connected via HDMI from your cable box.
We had all kinds of issues related to HDMI Motorola boxes modulator.
